Did the weather get your attention over the weekend? Then it may be enough to prompt interest in this, a free presentation called "The Crystal Ball: How Weather Forecasts are Made," scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Modesto Junior College.
The program, for people 10 and older, is part of the series provided by Modesto Area Partners in Science.
Noah Hughes, an MJC meteorology professor, will speak in Forum 110 on the MJC East Campus, describing what it takes to produce a weather forecast and how seasonal weather outlooks are developed.
