The San Francisco Giants have re-signed outfielder Angel Pagan to a four-year contract. Although financial terms were not released, reports have stated that the deal is worth $40 million and is pending a physical.
Acquired in a trade with the New York Mets last December, Pagan enjoyed a tremendous year with the world champion Giants in 2012, hitting .288 with eight home runs, 56 RBI and a major-league best 15 triples. He also recorded career bests in runs scored (95) and doubles (38).
Pagan also reportedly received a four-year deal from the Phillies.
