MERCED COUNTY -- Students are studying up for Merced County spelling bees.
About 80 fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders will compete a spell, starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, at the Atwater Community Center, 760 E. Bellevue Road. Junior high students will spell out their best work at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Merced County Office of Education Clark-Newbold conference rooms, 632 W. 13th St., Merced.
Osvaldo DeLuna and John Magneson, MCOE coordinators for instructional services, will be word masters.
