GameStop store off Sisk Road robbed

November 30, 2012

— Modesto police were looking for a man suspected of robbing the GameStop in the Plaza Parkway shopping center in north Modesto on Friday.

The suspect, described as either Latino or a light-skinned black man, entered the store at 2225 Plaza Parkway Drive at 12:39 p.m., said Sgt. Garret Crawford of the Modesto Police Department. He pulled out a gun and demanded money, Crawford said.

The man took money from the register and fled on foot. No shots were fired, and nobody was injured. There were three employees in the store and no customers, Crawford said.

Employees said the suspect wore dark clothing and could not say in what direction he fled. The Plaza Parkway shopping center, off Sisk Road, is anchored by Wal-Mart.
