Oscar Mayer Wienermobile to be in Modesto, Turlock

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be in Modesto on Friday and in Turlock on Sunday.

"We have some very fun events planned, and of course, we will have the famous Oscar Mayer Wiener Whistles," driver Kevin "Bacon Bits" Jacobsen said in a news release. "We will also have some fun games, contests and prizes."

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be at the Modesto Safeway store, 2011 McHenry Ave., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

It will be at the Turlock Safeway, 3051 Countryside Drive, during the same hours Sunday.

The first Wienermobile was built in 1936.
