Man found dead between two light-rail train cars

A man died Tuesday afternoon as he was going between two cars of a light-rail train.

Regional Transit spokeswoman Alane Masui said the accident was reported at 3:50 p.m. She said the man, who according witnesses appeared to be inebriated, went between the first and second cars of a four-car outbound train at the Globe station on Del Paso Boulevard.

He apparently became caught, and his body was discovered when the train pulled into the Arden/Del Paso station about a half-mile down the line.
