-- Turlock police are investigating a drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon that left a man with injuries that were not life-threatening.

According to Sgt. Steve Webb, the incident happened at 3:27 p.m. in the 300 block of West F Street.

"Two subjects were walking down F Street when four suspects in a black either Toyota or Nissan four-door driving eastbound on F shot several rounds," Webb said. One bullet hit one of the men, a 23-year-old from Turlock, in the hip.

The second man, a 46-year-old from Turlock, was not injured.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. No suspects have been identified. Investigators found casings from .22-caliber bullets at the scene.

Early indications are that the shooting was gang-related, Webb said.
