— Foggy conditions at the beginning of the week are expected to give way to rain by Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for the area until 10 a.m. today. Fog is expected to crop up throughout the area in the night and morning hours for the next couple of days.

Come midweek, though, forecasters are predicting major weather changes, with an initial storm system late Tuesday night followed by several more through the weekend.

Gusty winds are expected to accompany rain, which forecasters believe will be heavy at times.

High temperatures in the Northern San Joaquin Valley will hit the 60s, with lows in the 40s.
