In response to "Voters were afraid of change" (Nov. 13, Letters): I'm not sure which Americans or how many Americans you're talking about that don't work hard to get what they want out of life. And I'm not sure what you mean that the government gives people that don't work hard the things that they want.
How does that happen? What things are the government giving people? Are you talking about people on welfare or unemployed? If it is, that isn't most Americans. On the average, Americans work the most hours per week of any industrialized country in the world.
