• US-TOO PROSTATE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP

When: Monday, 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Where: Health Education and Conference Center, McHenry Village, 1700 McHenry Ave.

Info: Men diagnosed with prostate cancer meet the fourth Monday of each month. This will be the last meeting of 2012. The open meeting is a time to voice opinions and offer suggestions for future meetings, such as the type of speakers who should be featured. Friends and family members are encouraged to attend. • MENDED HEARTS SUPPORT GROUP

When: Tuesday, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Sutter Gould Medical Foundation Training and Education Center, McHenry Village, 1700 McHenry Ave.

Info: Mended Hearts is a nationwide nonprofit volunteer organization offering support and the gift of hope to heart patients, caregivers and their families. The support groups help people understand that there can be a rich, rewarding life after a heart procedure. Members are there to listen, share experiences and discuss matters relating to lifestyle changes, depression, recovery and treatment. Guest speakers from the medical profession and related industries talk about heart conditions, preparing for surgery and dealing with recovery. For more information, call Robert at (209) 523-2341.
