How do you feel about the news that the "Star Wars" saga will continue with new movies from Disney? Any thoughts on directors or cast or story lines? Are you happy it's happening?

At first I was skeptical about a new "Star Wars" movie, but being a such a fan of the franchise, I can't say that I'm not excited about three new movies!

Despite the fact that I have never watched a "Star Wars" movie, I feel that "Star Wars" should continue separately from Disney. Yet being one of the few people who never have watched one of the movies, the changes won't concern me! However, I hope that the movies from Disney will be better than expected and not upset "Star Wars" fans.

I will admit that I went through my "Star Wars" phase when I was younger, but for right now I really could go either way. I'll probably watch it, but I hope that Disney doesn't "dumb it down" or make it for a younger age group just because it's Disney creating it. I hope that they stick to the same story line and they get decent actors. Sorry, Justin and Selena, but please don't show up in "Star Wars" — it's not right.

Honestly, I'm not happy. I think the "Star Wars" series is a classic that shouldn't be messed with. Plus, I'm not a fan of the classic predictable Disney movie, and the thought of "Star Wars" under Disney's direction just doesn't seem like a good fit.

Mark Borges, FreshmanHughson High School

I honestly think they should end it now, because why keep going? It's had its run and it was good while it lasted. Ever heard of too much of a good thing? I think if they keep going, the whole saga will go down with it. But that is just my opinion. I don't think it's a good idea. I think it will just become overplayed and people will get sick of it. All good things must come to an end.

I love "Star Wars." May the force be with Disney in the years to come!

Katelyn Roudebush, SeniorOakdale High School

The "Star Wars" saga is a legend. It's inspired people all across the globe and is a major part of my childhood. Hearing that Disney has picked up the saga and is now continuing it makes me excited and nervous at the same time. It's already had an ending, and it was a great ending, but having it continue would be awesome, too. As long as they don't mess it up or stray from the whole spirit of the saga, then I'm fine with it. Do I think this project will ever be as good as the originals? No, but I do think this has a lot of potential and could go both ways. Hopefully, they include my favorite comedic robot duo, R2-D2 and C3PO.
