Appreciation for firefighters

On Nov. 11, our roof caught fire. After calling 911, I would approximate it took five to eight minutes for the fire department to respond.

We were totally blown away by the promptness, professionalism, politeness and putting our fears to rest by these folks.

A total of five trucks responded — all of whom worked in serious tandem together, resulting in minimal damage.

We were so impressed! It's comforting to know that our city has such fine crews. The city of Modesto should be quite proud of these gentlemen. They did you proud! Thank you for a job well done.
