A judge Tuesday rescheduled a trial to start June 18 for a 37-year-old mother accused of stabbing her 13-year-old autistic son inside their north Modesto apartment in September 2011.

Anitra Hankins has been charged with attempted murder with enhancements of inflicting great bodily injury, acting with premeditation and using a weapon. She is accused of stabbing her son, Miles, with a knife.

Stanislaus County Superior Court Judge John Freeland also scheduled a hearing June 10 to ensure that both sides are ready to proceed with the trial.

The boy has since recovered from his critical injuries and is living with relatives outside the state. Hankins remains in custody at the Stanislaus County Jail. Her bail is set at $580,000.
