-- Police arrested at Turlock man this morning on a charge of hit-and-run after an accident left a motorcyclist with a broken leg and other injuries.

According to Turlock Police Sgt. Stephen Webb, the accident occurred at West Main Street and North Tully Road just before 7 a.m. The motorcyclist was heading east on Main, getting ready to turn north onto Tully when a man in a pickup pulled out of a nearby Circle K parking lot and went to get into the turn lane, clipping the bike.

The driver fled the scene; witnesses called in a description of the truck. Officers found it on Pioneer Avenue, a couple of miles away.

“It had fresh damage consistent with the collision,” Webb said. Officers conducted an infield lineup with the witness, who identified the suspect as the driver.

Police arrested Rodrigo Gonzalez Gutierrez, 35 on the felony charge.
