BASEBALL

K ZONE TRAVEL TRYOUTS — Travel team tryouts will be held the end of December for the 2013 season. The K Zone will help the Modesto Mustangs develop 5 teams — ages 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14-year old teams. One 12-under team will be going to Cooperstown. Tryout schedule: Nov. 17, 10-unders (Great Danes) at 9 a.m., 11 to 12-unders (Modesto Mustangs) at 11 a.m., 13 to 14-unders (Valley Giants) at 1 p.m. All Tryouts at the K Zone complex. Each team will have 11 players. Season goes from January to July. The 12-unders Cooperstown tournament will be June, July and August. All teams will play at least six tournaments.
