Each day in the U.S. approximately 100 people take their own lives, leaving behind loved ones to struggle with the loss, grief and all of those questions that begin with "Why ?"
Each year, International Survivors of Suicide Day helps individuals and families who have lost someone to suicide connect with others and express the powerful emotions they experience. Survivors of suicide loss come together for support, healing, and information at presentations around the world.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's International Survivors of Suicide Day will be held Nov. 17 in more than 300 cities around the world. For the first time, this program will take place in Modesto. For more information about the presentation or to pre-register visit: www.afsp.org.
