Two men robbed a north Modesto service station at gunpoint Sunday night and fled on foot, police said.

The men, at least one of them armed with a handgun, entered the USA Auto Service Center at 3300 McHenry Ave., Lt. Scott Blom said. The men took an unknown amount of cash, mostly small bills, and fled on foot east on Robin Hood Drive, Blom said.

They also took a cash register drawer, which was found about 20 minutes later at Dragoo Park Drive and Barringham Lane, he said.

One of the men was described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. The other was described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds and wearing a gray hood.
