The Modesto City Schools board, meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, will consider a new policy that further defines inappropriate behavior between school district employees and students. No reference is made in the agenda to James Hooker, but the policy clearly is aimed at preventing a repeat of that problem, where Hooker became involved with an 18-year-old Enochs student while he was a teacher there. The proposed new policy says inappropriate behavior includes "establishing an inappropriate written, verbal or physical relationship with a student."

The school board also will talk about minor revisions in attendance boundaries to reduce the student count at Enochs High and increase it at Johansen. 425 Locust Ave.

• The Modesto Irrigation District board, meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, will discuss who will be interim general manager after Allen Short's departure next month and the makeup of a water advisory committee. 1231 11th St.

• The Modesto City Council, meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, will consider a recommendation to beef up tree-trimming crews to address the serious mistletoe infestations around the city. Basement, Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St.

• The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors, meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, will consider a staff recommendation to create a psychiatric health facility in a county-owned building in Ceres. Basement, Tenth Street Place.

• The Modesto council's Economic Development Committee meets at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Room 2005, Tenth Street Place.
