I have been reading about George Lucas and his famous film and his cruising of 10th and 11th streets.

How many Modestans remember cruising 10th and 11th streets in the early '40s? I was attending Modesto Junior College in the fall of 1942 until I entered the Navy in December 1942. Yes, we were cruising 10th and 11th then, in our Model A's. So we were doing it before he was born — I'm not criticizing — and we were a peaceful group of young people.

I have not seen the noted film, so I don't know what he portrayed, but I can still remember what we used to do.
