Improv comedy

"Whose Live Anyway?" features 90 minutes of improvised comedy and song based on audience suggestions. Performers Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops and Jeff Davis of TV's "Whose Line is it Anyway?" are joined by Bill Murray's younger brother Joel Murray and keyboardist Bob Derkach.

Music Trio

The Robyn Helzner Trio performs world Jewish music as part of the Sunday Afternoons at CBS concert series this weekend. Helzner is a singer and story teller who served as cantor for six years for a Jewish congregation in Hong Kong. The other members of the trio are Dov Weitman, a virtuoso on mandolin and guitar, and Matt Holsen, a singer and instrumentalist who lived in Spain and Chile. Tonight, Helzner also presides over a vegetarian kosher Chinese dinner and presentation titled "Kreplach and Dim Sum: Yes, There are Jews in China!" at Modesto's Congregation Beth Shalom.

Concert honoring veterans

California State University, Stanislaus, and the Gallo Center for the Arts are presenting a free concert honoring veterans. The program features performances by the university's Wind Ensemble and Concert Chorale as well as small chamber ensembles and soloists. Community members also will give readings on the ideals of service.

Frank Wiens

Frank Wiens, piano professor at University of the Pacific in Stockton since 1976, will perform a recital of works by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg as part of the St. James Concert Series in Sonora. Among pieces to be performed are Piano Sonata in E minor, "Humoreske,""Bridal Procession," "Residence of the Goblins" and "Little Bird and Butterfly." Wiens has performed extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad, including in London, South Korea and Romania.
