Info: The California Retired Teachers Association, Stanislaus County chapter, will hold a luncheon and meeting featuring retired Davis High teacher Ed Arnold speaking on "Glimpses of Modesto History." Arnold volunteers at the Stanislaus County Library and as a docent at the McHenry Mansion. The group also will discuss $3,000 in donations the chapter gave to local nonprofit groups this year. • HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING

Where: Tuolumne County Library, 480 Greeley Road

Info: The Tuolumne County Historical Society meeting will feature Jerry Day, county film commissioner. He will talk about the more than 200 Hollywood and TV productions filmed locally. The meeting is open to the public. Society member Leonard Ruoff will add stories about chauffeuring the stars while they were on location.
