MODESTO -- Four people, including a child, were taken to the hospital after a four-vehicle, chain-reaction collision on Crows Landing Road Tuesday afternoon.
Northbound traffic was stopped at a red light at Winnmoore Way around 2:40 p.m. when the driver of a Ford Edge failed to stop and slammed into the back of a Toyota Corolla at about 40 miles per hour, said California Highway Patrol Officer Matt Fowles.
The Toyota was then propelled into the back of GMC Envoy, which was pushed into the back of a Dodge Caravan. A total of nine people were involved in the collision and four were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries, Fowles said.
