-- Less than 24 hours after claiming the first CCAA title in program history, the Cal State Stanislaus men’s soccer team found out it will be heading to the NCAA Championships for the first time.

The Warriors (11-4-3) are seeded No. 4 in the West Region, which is part of the Super Region No. 4 with three teams from the South Central.

Cal State Stanislaus (11-4-3) and will face No. 5 Notre Dame de Namur (13-4-1) of Belmont on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Hayward.

Stanislaus defeated Notre Dame de Namur 2-1 early in the 2011 season.

“This is practically a home game for us but it is also a home game for (NDNU),” Stanislaus head coach Dana Taylor (pictured) said. “There will be a lot of fans there from both sides and we just have to be ready and play our game.”
