TURLOCK — Police are investigating a restaurant shooting that left one man with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Police were called to Los Gallos Restaurant at 811 E. Hawkeye Ave. about 10:40 p.m. Sunday on a report of shots fired.
When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the leg, according to police Sgt. Stephen Webb.
Witnesses told police that a man entered the restaurant and got into an argument with two men, who are brothers.
A fight ensued and, at some point, Webb said, the man was hit with a bottle.
The man, according to witnesses, then opened fire in the restaurant, striking one of the brothers.
The other brother ran out of the restaurant and the gunman gave chase, firing several rounds into the parking lot. He then fled the scene.
Webb said police know who the suspected gunman is, but an arrest has not been made.
