MANTECA -- Manteca police have arrested four men suspected of attacking and robbing a man Monday night near South Side Park.
Matthew Torres, 21, Wesley Miller, 23, Casey Burks, 19, and Stephen Cervantez, 22, were arrested on suspicion of robbery, police said Friday.
The robbery was reported about 7:15 p.m. The victim told police that robbers chased him from the park to the 100 block of South Willow Avenue. Police said the victim was assaulted and robbed.
Police identified Torres as one of the suspects; patrol officers found him near the crime scene and took him into custody. Investigators later identified the three other suspects. Tuesday, the Street Crimes Unit found and arrested Miller.
Wednesday, investigators served a search warrant at a home in the 1700 block of Savory Drive in Manteca. There, investigators found a loaded handgun and about 220 grams of marijuana, police said.
Later that day, gang investigators found and arrested Burks near Southside Park.
Thursday, the Street Crimes Unit conducted a probation search at a home in the 1100 block of Lorene Avenue in Manteca. There, investigators found Cervantez and nearly 31 grams of crystal methamphetamine, police said.
