In response to "Deport all illegal immigrants" (Oct. 15, Letters): What are we supposed to do with the children who have one American citizen or legal immigrant as a parent? Do we deport the spouse? Do the children stay here since they have a legal parent?

The idea of deporting all illegal immigrants and their children would leave our state with many more problems.

Some schools would close, putting teachers and other employees out of work. People who rent property to illegals would lose income, as would retail businesses of every description.

I do not believe that most unemployed citizens would be willing to work in the fields or do less than glamourous jobs that illegals hold down.

Our citizens' children would get a better education if there was more respect shown to each other instead of the "I" attitude that is so prevalent in our society.
