I just heard the campaign ad "Racetrack Jack" for the first time. The California Dental Association, headquartered in Sacramento, uses "independent" expenditure funds to sponsor the commercial.

It claims Merced farmers have issues with 21st Assembly District candidate Jack Mobley because of his nod in favor of a racetrack years ago. While serving on the Merced County Planning Commission, Jack simply agreed with the board's unanimous decision based on zoning and land use data.

That CDA lobbying group must have missed the fact that our Merced County Farm Bureau board, after scrutiny of both candidates, has opted overwhelmingly to endorse Mobley on behalf of its 1,500 members.

Local voters, as has the Farm Bureau, have moved beyond the irrelevant Riverside Motor Sports Park of decades past. This election is about our future and the hope that those we select will lead us to a better economy.

Mobley's 22-year entrepreneurial experience, creating thousands of jobs, affords him unique insight on how to make jobs happen. His record of fighting for fewer taxes and eliminating unnecessary regulations make Mobley the best choice in District 21.
