Modesto church hosts October Blest celebration

MODESTO -- For families looking for an alternative to the usual Halloween ghosts and ghouls, Shelter Cove Church in Modesto provided its 5th annual October Blest on Wednesday.

The event offered carnival games, ‘Trunk or Treat,’ a bounce house and, of course, candy, all with a Christian focus.
