LA GRANGE TOUR

Info: The Modesto Area Classic T-Bird Club plans a tour to the La Grange area. Members and guests are invited to meet in the parking lot. The group will drive to the old gold dredge in La Grange, followed by a tour of the museum, and lunch at the Old Grill and Bar (established in 1897). Members can order off the menu but need to let Keith and Elaine know they will be attending by calling (209) 527-2639. The group will stop at the Roberts Ferry Nut Co. on the return trip. Turlock

E-WASTE FUND-RAISER

When: Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon

Where: Turlock public library, 550 Minaret Ave.

Info: The Friends of the Turlock Public Library are holding an E-Waste collection fund-raiser in the parking lot. Turlock Scavenger Co. is providing a bin and haul away, and has agreed to give all proceeds to the Friends of the Turlock Public Library. Items to be dropped off include TVs, flat panel displays, computer monitors, laptops, printers, keyboards, fax machines, cables and cords, modems and PC boards. Items not accepted include washers, dryers, microwaves, and hazardous waste such as batteries and fluorescent bulbs. For more, call Brooks at (209) 417-2359.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

When: Saturday, Nov. 3, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Where: Angelos Hall, Columbia State Historic Park, 11209 State St.

Info: The Columbia Volunteer Fire Department will hold a pancake breakfast featuring pancakes, bacon, eggs, toast, juice and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.
