Info: The Cruise In 4 a Cause community event celebrates birthdays, history and the Modesto arch. Student artwork from the Home of American Graffiti poster contest will be showcased, along with other local artists from the Mistlin Gallery. There will be a free car show and shine with lots of raffle items. Live entertainment will be provided by Donavon Cash from noon to 2 p.m. Sponsored by the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Team: Lighting a Way for a Cure. Info: Annual food drive helping hungry families in the community. Nonperishable items and cash donations are welcome. Donations will go to United Samaritans Foundation. Drop off donations at the above location.

Calaveras County

• SHOES4SOULS

When: Through Nov. 14

Where: Various locations

Info: Angels-Murphys Rotary Club helps those in need with a shoe drive to benefit Soles4Souls Inc., The Shoe Charity, through Nov. 14. All county residents and their friends and family are invited to recycle their gently worn shoes in an effort to help distribute them to people in need. Look for donation boxes throughout Calaveras County.
