I am amazed at how Mitt Romney has quickly changed his positions on different issues affecting our country.

During his campaign, Romney called himself a "severely conservative" candidate. He declared that he would repeal Obamacare by changing Medicare into a voucher program and terminating Medicaid and Social Security. His proposed budget will definitely affect the poor and the elderly.

A group of nuns has been doing a bus tour and has declared such a move to be immoral because it goes against Jesus Christ's preaching to be one's brother's keeper. Some Jesuit priests have stated the same.

Unfortunately, we have used the poor as a reason for budget cuts or balancing the budget. Romney is now softening his positions from immigration to Social Security. He figures that these are part of his political agenda or narrative that will win more votes. He's a chameleon, a small lizard whose skin changes colors specially to its surroundings.
