Cooler temperatures roll into valley

It looks like a beautiful weekend ahead, followed by a a Monday that is looking increasingly likely to be rainy.

The National Weather Service calls for highs in the low 80s today, cooler than the last couple of days in the Northern San Joaquin Valley. It’s also a bit breezier out there than it has been.

The cooling trend will continue Saturday and Sunday, with highs by then only getting into the low 70s.

Next week, it could be time to get out the bumpershoot, as forecasters predict a 50 percent chance of rain Monday, followed by potential showers Tuesday and Wednesday.
