Officer-involved shooting reported in Stockton

STOCKTON -- The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Stockton this morning.

According to a press release from Deputy Les Garcia, the sheriff’s SWAT team and narcotics agents were serving a warrant in the 3700 block of Miner Street just after 6 a.m. when they came across a man armed with a shotgun.

A SWAT team member shot the suspect, who was taken to a local hospital. His condition is not known at this time, and Garcia said no further details are yet available.
