Once again I am caring for a stray feral cat who came to my door. She was obviously abandoned. This cat is a Siamese, small and very beautiful. She was also pregnant. Now I am caring for four.

I called the Humane Society and no-kill shelters to find help. I want to trap the mother cat so I can have her neutered, as well as her litter. I was told to bring the cats in on Tuesday or Thursday only and pay a feral cat fee of $25 each. They suggested I put an ad in the paper or to use Craigslist to find homes for them. The no-kill shelters are not taking any cats or kittens at this time.

So, do I dump these kittens into Wal-Mart's parking lot as my neighbor suggested? Poison them? Let them starve? Or do the right thing?

Pet owners must be responsible for their pets and have then neutered. The overpopulation of cats is inhumane and heartless. Now, because of someone else's neglect, I am dealing with a problem I do not want nor need, not to mention the cost I must pay to have these cats neutered.

Please get responsible and stop ignoring the problem. This also applies to the owner of the male cat that impregnates the females.
