'Of Mice and Men'

The Downey High School drama department will present John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men" today, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Downey High auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $7 for adults, and are available at the door.

'Lend Me a Tenor'

The Modesto High theater department presents the comedy "Lend Me a Tenor" in the school auditorium starting today. "Lend Me A Tenor" takes place in 1934 and revolves around the misadventures of the Cleveland Grand Opera as it welcomes famous tenor Tito Merelli to the city for a benefit. Showtimes are today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for students, $7 for general and adult admission. The box office will open 30 minutes before showtime.

Fund-raising sale

Somerset Middle School students raising funds to take a trip to Washington, D.C., and New York will hold a warehouse sale Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5253 Jerusalem Court, Suite E. Items include furniture, home goods, décor, toys, books and much more. (209) 846-5380.
