How much of a fraidy-cat are you? Do you like horror movies and Halloween haunted houses, or is "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" about as scary as you can handle?

Dominique Germann, Senior, Central Valley High School

For a while my sister and I would hide in closets and corners around the house and scare the living daylights out of each other. These experiences have shown me that I am definitely not the right material for even a G-rated haunted house.

Maggie White, Senior, Valley Charter High School

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I'm a huge fraidy-cat. I can't stand horror movies, and haunted houses make me screech like a banshee, even when I know that something is about to pop out at me. Probably the scariest thing I willingly subject myself to is watching "Law and Order: SVU" right before I go to sleep.

Mark Borges, Freshman, Hughson High School

Personally, I'm not really into the whole horror thing. I have much better things to do than scare the life out of myself. And I have to admit, "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" is an amazing movie.

Natalia Lima, Senior, Turlock High School

I am more of the "fraidy cat" variety. My uncle bought me a book of spooky reports of paranormal activity when I was about 8 years old or so. I read only one of the stories and can still remember it pretty much word for word. Believe it or not, that was the first and last time I picked up that book. I don't really watch scary movies either. I've been called "deprived" because I haven't seen "Jaws." If I am ever planning on going near water again, I think it's best I stay away from that movie.

Taylor Menezes, Junior, Central Catholic High School

I'll admit that I'm a huge scaredy-cat! I don't remember the last scary movie I watched ... actually I don't think I've ever watched a scary movie ... that's weird.

Shelby Sutter, Freshman, Enochs High School

I do not see myself as a fraidy-cat. Nothing has scared me very much since I was a little kid. However, I do not like to go and see scary movies. I see myself more in the middle; a little fright is good, but after a lot of fright I won't sleep for a week or two. This question is answered by membersof Teens in the Newsroom, a journalism programfor local high school students.
