Modesto food delivery program accepting applications

MODESTO -- Inter-Faith Ministries of Greater Modesto is accepting applications for its program that delivers groceries to low-income seniors who don't have transportation.

To qualify, seniors need to be 65 and older, be able to cook for themselves and not have a caretaker. Applications are available at Inter-Faith and Catholic Charities.

Additionally, Inter-Faith has new winter hours effective today: It is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Its food bank remains open 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. weekdays, and its clothes closet is open noon to 4 p.m. weekdays.

The food pantry and clothes closet remain open the fourth Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon.
