Modesto 9-year-old sweeps powerlifting competition

Modesto's Jason Divis, 9, won all 11 of his events at the AAU Powerlifting Feats of Strength competition in Las Vegas last weekend.

Divis also won the world all-around championship and world's most versatile award, finishing first among 11 boys, ages 6 to 19.

Divis' age-group victories were pullups for reps, weighted pullup, dynamometer hand grip, hand partial deadlift, standing long jump, handstand race, strict pushup, bench press for reps, deadlift for reps, deadlift lockout, and strict curl. He set age-group world records in each event.
