Christin Gowan, an East Union High graduate who went on to a stellar four-year playing career at CSU Stanislaus, has been hired as the Warriors’ full-time women’s basketball assistant under first-year head coach Wayman Strickland.

Gowan played at Stanislaus from 2007-11, finishing with 322 career assists and the No. 1 spot on Stanislaus’ all-time free throw accuracy chart at 79.5 percent.

Jameiz Terrell, who finished a two-year run at guard with the Warriors last spring, is the team’s student assistant coach.

The Warrior men and women open practice on Monday.
