The Empire Union School District board will appoint a replacement for Trustee Stacie Morales, who resigned to serve on the Modesto City Schools board.
The vote was unanimous Thursday night to appoint rather than hold a special election, said Superintendent Bob Price.
Applications will be available at the district office, 116 N. McClure Road, beginning Tuesday.
