I am hopeful that you publish an article addressing the latest ads implying that Medicare will not/has not been fully funded. Candidates from both parties and outside interests have placed ads that skew the truth. I am tired of hearing that $716 billion is leaving Medicare coffers that were established for patient care.

The Affordable Care Act takes $716 billion in Medicare savings by cutting Medicare reimbursement to hospitals and private health insurance companies. The one area these cuts don't touch: Medicare benefits.

The Affordable Care Act reduces payment rates for hospitals and insurers. In no way does it reduce patient benefits.
