-- Detectives found more than 800 marijuana plants while serving a search warrant at a residence Tuesday morning, the latest in a continuing string of large-scale pot busts throughout Stanislaus County.

Detectives said they found 826 plants growing inside a home in the 100 block of Walker Ranch Parkway. The plants were found in several rooms, including bathrooms and closets. Detectives said the two suspects taken into custody were stealing electricity.

Detectives also found 6 pounds of dried, processed pot. In all, 206 pounds of marijuana were seized, according to a Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department news release. Patterson contracts with the Sheriff's Department for police services.

Detectives arrested San Jose residents Quoc Han Ho, 48, and Quang Van Do, 56.

Officers throughout the county have been seizing marijuana in the past few months, in one of their busiest times for busting pot growers. They have found marijuana growing in back yards and in homes.

Last week, officers in Patterson, Riverbank and Oakdale broke up marijuana growing operations.

In Patterson, officers found more than 60 marijuana plants in one home and 40 pounds of dried marijuana in another. And late last week, officers in Riverbank found 305 mature pot plants along with 180 pounds of dried marijuana.

Oakdale police found a small marijuana grow while responding to a call of shots fired.
