CERES -- Ceres police on Monday night say they caught a man loading scrap metal into his truck at the future site of an elementary school.
Officers spotted the Ceres man about 7 p.m. in the 2800 block of Don Pedro Road, where Lucas Elementary School is being built, said Deputy Chief Mike Borges.
The man had loaded about 100 pounds of scrap metal into his truck at the school, which is expected to open for the 2013-14 school year, officers said.
