KYLE WENGEL, Ripon: The Indians' senior QB fired four TD passes to lead The Bee's No. 3-ranked small school to a 52-0 rout of Modesto Christian, only a week after MC beat defending section champ Hilmar. Wengel's throwing for 150 yards a game in Ripon's run-first offense, but he's tossed 13 TDs and threw for 234 yards in a Week 4 victory over TVL kingpin Escalon. With Wengel taking the snaps, the Indians are 6-0 and averaging 46 points a game.

TANNER KRIEG Summerville: When the Bears made their last splash in the MLL, it was behind their potent QB. This year it's Krieg and a ground attack that has allowed Summerville to dictate the tempo during its 5-0 start. He ran for career-high 204 yards and four TDs last week, lifting his totals to 684 yards and 10 TDs. He has 22 tackles, as well as an 80-yard kickoff return for a TD.

WHAT'S THE BLUE LINE?: Prep reporter Richard T. Estrada will identify members of The Blue Line, judging candidates on their body of work. The process is ongoing and new members will debut each Wednesday as part of our weekly prep football package.
