TANNER DURONHughson running back

What he did: The junior was all over the field as the Huskies took on TVL kingpin Escalon — one of their oldest rivals. Duron did his part, with 13 carries for 200 yards — the third time in five games he ran for at least 192 yards — and two TDs in a 28-18 loss in Hughson's league opener. He also had four catches for 26 yards, intercepted a pass and had four solo tackles.

What it means: Duron has run for 802 yards this fall and is averaging 12.3 yards a carry. He averages 13 carries a game, but that could rise.•

What's next: The Huskies (3-2, 0-1) have lost their last two (35-34 to Summerville in Week 4) and they visit unbeaten and No. 3 small-school Ripon (6-0, 2-0) Friday night.
