CERES -- Two Ceres neighbors were arrested tonight on suspicion of negligent discharge of a firearm, the Stanislaus County Sheriffs Department reported.
At 6:47 p.m., deputies went to the 2500 Block of Lynell Avenue in response to a report of a dispute between neighbors and sounds of gunfire.
The deputies learned that the dispute between the neighbors Kenneth Walker, 64, and Danny Jacobo, 38 was over how one of them was driving on Lynell Avenue, a gravel roadway.
At some point this evening, both men had discharged firearms, said Sheriffs Department spokesman Sgt Anthony Bejaran. Neither of the men was hit and it is not known if they actually exchanged gunfire, Bejaran said in a news release.
