Regarding "Workers protest start to cap-and-trade law" (Sept. 21, Page A-3): The side box titled "Who's Affected" should say that every consumer, business and worker is affected negatively. Prices for everything that use energy somewhere in production will rise drastically.

It also affects some elite investors such as Al Gore who will become rich off of our increasing poverty due to AB 32.

Combine that with the doubling of prices due to Obamacare and the inflation to come due to government policy, and it won't be long until bread costs $32 a loaf, and your electric bill is about $900 a month. Add to that the job losses from businesses shutting down or leaving the state.

A depression will be the end result of this law.
