OAKDALE -- A 61-year-old man was struck by a car and killed Wednesday night while crossing a street in Oakdale.
About 7:45 p.m., the Oakdale man walked south across Highway 108 at Wood Avenue. He crossed the westbound lane and, when he entered the eastbound lane, was hit by a Honda minivan driven by Marilyn Drendel, 72, of Oakdale, said Oakdale police officer Ben Savage.
There is no crosswalk at the intersection.
