Modesto event will focus on schools, jobs

The Modesto Chamber of Commerce will hold State of Education: Building Bridges for Tomorrow's Workforce from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Modesto Centre Plaza. Tickets are $40.

Booths featuring Modesto City Schools vocational programs will open at 11 a.m. At 11:30, the lunch and program will begin, featuring progress made on business and school partnerships.

Presentations will follow on the Modesto programs, teacher internships and the Stanislaus County Office of Education military academy.
