CANCER AWARENESS WORKSHOP

When: Today, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Where: Ceres Community Center, 2701 Fourth St.

Info: The Chemo Crew will put on a workshop to help bring awareness to having a healthy lifestyle after being given the diagnosis of cancer. Those fighting cancer and their caregivers are invited to hear clinical dietitian Faron Moreno discuss the benefits of having a healthy diet during and after treatment. Survivors will also offer helpful tips and resources.

SUICIDE PREVENTION WALK

Where: Mancini Bowl, Graceada Park, Needham and Sycamore avenues

Info: "Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk" sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This is the third annual walk to help heal the losses of the past, and help prevent suicide from taking more lives.
